Do I have to remove a metal bracket (attached to engine block) that holds electrical connectors? It is attached with two 14mm screws. They seem to be very firm, hard to loosen.

If you're talking about the bracket between intake manifolds #6 & 8, (see picture), then no.

Check out http://www.q45.org

Lots of info, read religiously.

Thank you for responding. Yes, that's what I meant. I removed plenum. This bracket sits between injectors 6 & 8. I probably will have to remove electrical connectors to get accsess to valve cover screw. Do I need to remove a cover over spark plugs first? I intend to replace spark plugs. Should I replace the valve cover gasket first, and then spark plugs? Going through other postings I found out that the lower valve cover screw by the fire wall can be accessed from underneath the car.

Today I replaced injectors. Valve covers. spark plugs and KS are next. By the way it is a Q45a with TCS so perhaps I have more hoses and wires. Any tips will help.

Thanks again.

There are 3 bolts under the coilpack cover that you have to remove to take the VC off.

Thats optional. Eitherway is about the same level of difficulty for me.Just gotta be careful about not loosing anything down into the cylinder.

(Personally, anytime I dig into a motor, I like to prime it before I put the sparkplugs back in)

That would suck. I like it here.
