those Chimps don't know jack S@#% about the Q, they make me so mad when they charge 150 bucks an hour for S@#% labor, that's like 20 bucks less than a Ferrari or a lambo dealership94q45t wrote:Need help:
My 94 Q45 (175K miles) has two problems which the dealer (Infiniti of Gwinnet, ATL, GA) has said said is beyond him.
Worth a shot. The ones in there only lasted 21 years...so what the heck. Thanks for the info (especially the location and color).3Q Jay wrote:TCS and SLIP lights together sounds like the classic symptom of the blue relays under the battery tray.
replace them both,
use genuine Nissan (25230-89981). No, they won't last forever, but they should go about 6 years for ya.
Agree, but in this case, the dealer didn't charge for the diagnosis, and the shop foreman referred me to T3. He gave me a complete diagnostic printout, test values, etc, as well as diagrams. I don't normally go to the dealer, but fair is fair. In this case, they were honest and gave me some leads.94Q45Beast wrote:You should have gone to infiniti of Rosewell, or any other dealership, they would have pin pointed exactally what the problem is, Infiniti of Gwinnett sucks, they are way over priced than other dealerships and their mechanics are your average lube monkey's that can manage to change the parts out but don't care about the quality of their work, their diagnostics suck. where did you get your upholstery work done if I may ask
Spoke to Byron who recommended testing the relays )as others have posted. They did tell me that T3 has gotten rid of their old Q45 parts cars and are moving away from that specialty as the numbers of survivor cars dwindle.qship96 wrote:Did you Atlanta guys give up on going to T3 Automotive? Byron who worked at the South Cobb street location knows the G50 series in and out,and cheaper labor than the dealer.
I had the upholstery work done at Freestyle, Inc., in Stone Mountain, GA. He's a older gentleman who also owns a Penske truck rental agency on the same property. Definitely a family affair. He subcontracts for many of the area dealers either doing repairs for new vehicles damaged somehow, or restorations. In my case, the exact leather is no longer available. Since everything but a few panels on the driver and passenger seats were still good, he did panel replacements making as close a match as he could. The results were phenomenal, but not cheap. Still less than an entire interior, and I'm no longer embarrassed to have people in the car.94Q45Beast wrote:You should have gone to infiniti of Rosewell, or any other dealership, they would have pin pointed exactally what the problem is, Infiniti of Gwinnett sucks, they are way over priced than other dealerships and their mechanics are your average lube monkey's that can manage to change the parts out but don't care about the quality of their work, their diagnostics suck. where did you get your upholstery work done if I may ask
