I have a 1994 Q45 that I just bought. The sunroof switch has the slider part broken off. The 2 parts cars I've found have the same problem. Is this a common problem with these?

yes, somewhat. Usually you have to pull on plastic things pretty hard to break them though... so be careful and dont try to lift yourself out of the seat by pulling it

anyways to answer the next question, plenty of help when archived content is searched

Here are your options1) dont use it2) buy a new switch from dealer, it ranges from ~$30-40 depending on how greedy they are (or check with Joe, but shipping probably offsets what you would save)3) Find a junked one, hard to do, takes forever, so far your shooting blanks4) Repair itFor the cost of a paperclip and some time heywier427 came up with thishttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=160391However im sure the paperclip will bend, and you will have to re-do it (and of course with owners that break plastic its no problem destroying the paper clip)Depending on how many you are with a drill, very very light fabrication, im sure you could make something that would last forever... but it shouldnt come down to that
