What about the brake sensor under the brake pedal is that fine?

Does the shift lock work?

Press shift lock while try to go into part.

Good Luck, Welcome To NICO

I had a similar problem with my Infiniti, it may be the shift lock is locked into position. Also did you spill a soft drink on the shifter or coffee. That will definately lock it up. I recommend removing the gear shifter trim and housing and try to shift it out of park. One last question is the tilt steering wheel locked into position or does it steer freely. If it is unlocked, take the shifter and push it forward toward park with brake pedal foot down, then shift it into reverse or drive. Worked for me on my Maxima when it was locked into park. IF this not work contact me directly at :[email protected]. I'll ask the mechanics at my job at Pepe Porsche Infiniti in White Plains. Good luck but try the steps I have outlined first.

Check to make sure your brake lights are functioning. Without a signal from the brake circuit, the shift lock solenoid won't disengage and allow you to shift out of park.

You can use the bypass on the console next to the sfiter in the meantime.

But repair your brake sensor ASAP.

Yea I had the same problem with my first Q, I had to manually disengage the shiftlock on the side of the shifter, kinda annoying but after the first 10 times doing it I got used to it and didn't even realize I was doing it lol

Hello. Sorry to but in, but my 90 Q45 is stuck in park. I tried the brake and can't get it out of park. How do I manually disengage it? I can't get the console out or the shifter handle off.

There is a button on the shifter assembly. It should have a sticker there that says "shift lock" but if not, it's just a button sticking up that you push down to get it to move out of park. As mentioned earlier in the thread, the shift lock has to "see" a brake pedal signal (from the brake light circuit) to release the shifter.

I'm guessing your sticker is missing - or the button isn't working - but this picture should help.

Good luck!
