 I am sure most of you are already familiar with me and my Q. I have replace almost everything on my car and it still will not pass smog.
I have taken it to 4 shops already including the Infiniti dealer who found no codes and stated computer was fine and nobody can find anything wrong with the car but the emissions are twice what they should be and it will not pass smog.
The CATS have been replaced, the EGR system tested and working properly, no hose/vaccum leaks found, mass air flow sensor replaced, o2 sensors replaced, EGR sensor replaced. The car has been at a smog repair specialists for a week and nothing.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated????

Have you had a compression test done? What are the numbers?

How about base ignition timing?

I would recommend take it to these guys: http://www.carzoneautorepair.com. Ask for William or Donald (818-373-1330). They are located up in Van Nuys area. They are capable as Jerry Tucker All Imports. I've already told them about your case and they are expecting your call.

Possibly your Q is still running a little bit rich. Post your smog numbers. I'm also available this weekend and let's hook it up to my laptop consult and double check the readings.

Good luck.

Percy

Good news. I had a problem with one of my G50's simply because it wasn't thoroughly warmed first.

Don't leave us in suspense. What was repaired?

They basically took the entire motor apart and put it back together. They found 1 loose hose on the EGR valve and also a gasket that was not sealed properly. The car was in the shop for over a month before they repaired it and passed smog.
