I have a 94 Q45 with 160K and I think that I need to change the spark plugs, I got a quote of $240.00 and $365.00 with my car having trac control. Is this a fair price including the labor?

Well, if you don't get the plugs from Wes and DIY, what choice do you have?

The correct question is "For $X, will the guy do the job corectly?"

To Quote Q45tech: "More Q45 are ruined by inept mechanics, except for those ruined by non-maitenance."

So I guess I should let the dealer do the job so it will be done correctly so I don't have to worry..

Its a tedious PITA to change spark plugs. Its not challenging, just slow and annoying. $350 isnt bad. I was quoted $220 from a dealer for my non-traction Q.

Just remember you are torquing them into aluminum, so the correct lubrication and an accurate torque wrench are necessary after you hand start them.

What kind of plugs are you going to put in? My buddy told me I should get IRIDIUM. I have no idea if he knows what he is talking about. Do you know if they are good?
