Hi group! I have a 1994 Q45 and all of a sudden the park light on the back went out. When I turn on the park lights the rear lights does not work . However when I press the brakes all of the lights work . Could it be the sensor that is in the trunk lid????? Any help would be apperciated.

Could be the sensor but a good place to start would be to remove the bulb module (from inside the trunk) and check the bulbs and sockets for evidence of melting/shorts. As I recall theres no tools required, just squeeze the tabs and the bulb assembly pops out. Socket melting and shorting is a common problem in the Q45. Bulbs can be replaced using OEM or Sylvania LL only, but the module will have to be replaced or rebuilt. Let us know what you find. Good luck.

I tried replacing the bulb with no luck. I inspected the socket and all looks fine............ Where exactly is the sensor located in the trunk and what does it look like?

Now my rear deck brake lights went out. Changed out the bulbs on the back deck brake light with no luck. My illumination lights are not working but the door lights are working. I also checked all of the fuses and all is fine. Any other suggestions???
