94 Q45 Security Issue...

Last night, I go to the store park the Q and lock her up from the inside. I come back out, use the key to unlock and the horn starts honking and the ignition is disabled. So, I go back outside relock the car and unlock it but cannot get the honking to stop. After what seems like forever, the horn stops but I cannot start the car. Frustration.... So, I go back out and try again. After a second round of honking I finally get the car to realize the door is unlocked and the car starts. Nothing else is out of the ordinary. Anyone have any idea on where to start? This same thing happened about a month ago, and I thought it was just a fluke. Lock looks ok, key looks ok....Ideas?

99% it is the door lock cylinder switch- try unlocking the passangers side door with the key for awhile instead of the drivers, if problem doesnt happen,it confirms it.

thank you, I will try that. I noticed some new scratches on the drivers door, almost looks like someone tried to bust the lock. Not good. Thanks again.
