Hello folks,

So I am working on my 94 Q45a that I have had for a good while now. Yes the Active Suspension works; was about to go coils but decided not to for the mean time. Anyways I have googled, searched, and found nothing regarding the room lamp fuse popping as soon as you insert it. I unplugged all dome lights and removed stereo but the fuse still seems to pop. Any idea what else might be hooked up to the room lamp fuse? I am pretty stumped on what can be causing the short; tried most of what the internet had.

The other issue is the a/c condensor fan not working. I have read up on triggering it but can't seem to find how to or where the plug is. When the car first ran everything with the a/c was fine until summer came. :rotfl Any idea maybe with what color wire I should run to the battery or how I can try to trigger the fan? Thanks.

The closest I've heard of anything like it is this: post5538245.html?hilit=fuse#p5538245

I don't know of a common issue that causes what you're describing, so sadly, I think you're in for a long game of "trace the circuit"

For the A/C Condenser fan, have you checked the FSM for wire colors? It's available at www.infinitiservicemanual.com if you don't already have a copy.

Thanks for the response. So I decided to over do it and installed a 30amp fuse and it does not pop, it does get hot. I also however saw that both passenger side doors light up, the back reading lights light up barely but the driver side entirely does not light up. I'm really lost here. It all happened out of no where by the way.

For the fan I can't find where in the FSM to find the condensor fan. Any idea?

I'll have to look over the FSM later when I have more time. I wouldn't leave that 30A fuse in there too long unless you're going to use a diagnostic approach of "look for the smoke" then fix what was on fire. :D

Room lamp case SOLVED! Took out the trunk bulb, seems to have burnt out since it was a LED. Those melt so quickly but illuminate a lot. Even though the trunk was closed too which was weird. Phew, now I have lights. :)

As for the condensor, it was working after a 30mile drive which was weird. The issue I am having is the A/C won't blow cold. I have charged it and everything but nothing. If I turn the car off and on the condensor no longer turns on. Any idea? It was working when I first got the car, clueless how it stopped blowing ICE COLD. I will do some more research on the A/C though. The clutch for it engages and everything if that matters.

Glad to see you figured out the room lamp issue. I've been running LEDs back there for several years... never heard of them failing with a dead short, but I guess anything is possible with the high quality LED stuff that's coming out of China.

If the clutch engages, the pressures aren't too far off... What pressure readings were you getting when you recharged it?
