Hi was just curious if anyone could help me out.

Was driving along the highway when i lost powersteering so i pulled off highway and then noticed my engine temp gauge was at max. I shut the car off and had it towed ... however, the engine was running fine when i shut it off.

Any ideas what problems it might have?

broken fan belt & possibly failed pully bearing causing the belt to snap-minor if engine didnt overheat too long-otherwise,not so good

Ah thanks I don't think it overheated for long but I will find out soon enough ... it's waiting in the shop to get serviced.

hopefully, you stopped the engine before it got soo hot as to warp heads,etc-if all checks out ok,good idea to change oil and transmission fluid now,as these fluids take a beating from overheats.
