My tech says that there is a steel (17mm) plug at the back of each head (facing firewall) on my Q, one of which is weeping coolant. Anybody know what these are and what the fix might entail? He said he thought it would require r and r of the head to get at. Is this a known problem or just my luck? Would appreciate any input.

Thanks,Tom

known problem.do some searches, you don't have to pull head, but you are gooping and praying.

Never heard or forgot about that one. So it's on the cylinder head?

Common from infrequent coolant exchange..........allowing the coolant to become acidic.

When these leak after being eaten up from electrolysis, think of the other coolant passage damage.
