Welcome to our club, MacUser.

But we will need a little more maintenance history to help.

What intake plumbing has been cleaned recently? Injector maitenence? Fuel filter and fuel pump?

What is your transmission maintenence history? How does the ATF appear - white paper towel test?

Mileage? Driving regimen?

1.) Get the Infiniti dealer performed service history by submitting the VIN to yur service writer at your dealer. Tell them you need to budget for upcoming maintenenance. You can get an oral version by doing the same thing at Infiniti customer service when you register your vehicle.

2.) Grab a can of the same brand ATF in your car and compare the color of the new fluid to the existing fluid. Discoloration is a good indicator of wear.

Do you have an auxiliary cooler? probably good for the summer but maybe not for the winter if you drive in subzero weather.

At 25K, might well be time for another mechanical ATF exchange, pandrop, and filter replacement.

http://www.bgfindashop.com will give you an idea of BG shops in your area. Call first to check on services offered as some don't do the pan drop and filter replacement.
