Isn't it easier to drain coolant from cylinder blocks than to drain it fron "Y shape apparatus" above KS?

I was under the impression that the coolant drain plug on the block was behind the exhaust manifold.

I drained out any spillage/excess coolant with a turkey baister, (did I spell that right?), when I did my knock sensors. (I didn't want to deal with air pockets in the coolant passages)

Just take off the Y shaped thingy and the coolant will spill out, not a big deal IMHO, just clean it up once your done....

one can do it various ways. the pass side drain plug under the exhaust mani is quite accessible. i try to keep the messes to a minimum. several posts on getting the y-pipe back on if you haven't already found them.i strongly recommend chaninging all the rubber [heater hoses too] while you are down in there.
