my "automatic drive positioner" does not function! i replaced my fuel pump, fuel filter, water pump, etc... so anyway i pulled off the negative terminal plug from the battery to safely work on the car. i get done working on the car, start it up and the automatic drive positioner stops working. when i slip my key in the ignition the seat nor the steering wheel does not move. i can still adjust them but it wont pull in and out automatically for easy access in and out of the car. what could be wrong? i know about the cancel switch and it does nothing when i turn it on or off. any help would be appreciated.

You lost your settings when you disconnected the battery. Just reset the positions and you should be back in business.

You might need to reset the settings. There are a few threads about this, but the gist of it is this:

insert the key, shut the door, turn the ignition on, turn the key off, and leave it in the switch. Open th edriver's door, then close it. wait about 2 to 3 minutes, then open the door. The steering wheel and seat should then move to teh exit position.
