Does anybody know what is the proper tool and where to buy for the removing of the 94 Q45 differential plugs?

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong when doing a coolant drain and fill? I only get about 2-3 quarts?

Isn't it a 17mm Allen wrench? Go to Sears and get a metric set.

No experience (yet) with the coolant question. There is a FSM procedure for emptying the heater core.

Sorry I didnt get to your email yet

It is a 1/2 drive square tool... I didnt even know they made 17mm allens!!! I know it seems kinda goofy but thats what you use!!!

The coolant drain I only get out about 4 quarts... your not draining the entire system, just the radiator which may have only half of the full capacity.....

Wes,

Where can one purchase this square 1/2" tool you speak of? I tried a 1/2" drive socket wrench and it didin't work. I've been to Sears & Kragen with no luck. Thought of using the metric allens but can only find this large a size online.

you get your 1/2" rachet, stick a short extension on it, then stick the bare end of the extension into the plug. No other tool needed. Make sure you can remove the filler plug before the drain plug else you're up the creek.
