Ok, so I picked up a 94 Q45 with a non responsive passenger side power seat. I've tried resetting the BCM, checked every fuse in the car and so on.

Today I tried swapping the driver side controls to the pass side to see if it was just the switches. Turns out all that does is control the drivers seat from the pass side.

Now at least it looks like there's a connection between the door and the BCM, but I'm still uncertain if there's an issue between the BCM and the seat or the seat switch is just bad. Any possiblity that if I reset the BCM with the drivers side switch in the pass door it will control the pass seat? If not any other ideas on things I can check? Tearing the seat out is a worse cast scenario here.

Unsnap 4 plastic shields, remove one bolt beneath each one, unplug just one connector and the seat comes out. It's really very easy. I think I would remove the seat and make sure a coin or some other foreign object is not jamming the rail.

Have you done the self-diagnosis outlined in the electrical section (EL) of the FSM? It could point to the LCU or the door-mounted seat controller. I wouldn't suspect the BCM if the other seat is working good. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips, I was just using the FSM today to remove the door panels, guess I should have read the seat removal part too.

Hopefully it doesn't rain tomorrow.

LCU 02-A is non responive according to the self-test. That's the pass side seat switch.

OMGBBQSAUCE I love this car!

Good news. Aren't the self-diagnosis features on the 94-96 great? It's one of the reasons they cost $50k+ in 1994.

I'm curious how much a new seat switch costs if you could share.

was $55 shipped off eBay, I'm sure I could get one cheaper if I pulled it myself, but I can't imagine any of the j/y's I visit having a Q45.
