Hi, I am a new 94 Q45 owner and I don't have a owner and service manual(plan on getting them). I would like to know where is the locaiton of the ATF drain and filler plug because I want to change ATF. Thank you for the info.

You cannot "change" the ATF fluid without an ATF fluid exchange machine.

Then you would also want to replace the internal filter, gasket, and one time use bolts and wipe the pan clean and inspect the magnetic plug.

http://www.bgprod.com and http://www.bgfindashop.com may help.

SnapOn also has a Sun fluid exchange machine.

Download a manual at http://www.phatg20.net and get the TSB later.

You need to do a lot of reading here, so dig in.

Hi, Thank you for your suggestion, actually I just want to drain some ATF because I overfilled the transmission and that is why I just want to drain out some and maybe refill. Is there a bolt in the pan that I can use to drain out or do I have to take out the transmission pan to drain out the ATF. Any suggestion is appreciated, Thanks a lot.

drain plug is on drivers' side rear of trans pan. 19 or 21 mm, don't recall at moment.

Hi, Thanks for your information, GQ Jay, how about the transmission filler plug, do you know where exactly is the filler plug located? Thanks again.

The only place to fill it is through the dipstick tube near the firewall on the right side. I assume that's where you put it in when you overfilled it before?
