Ok after looking at my situation I've decided to drop another trans in instead of rebuild...Question is (after 2 days of searching) which trans are interchangeable? Is it 89-93 then 94-95 or is it a wider range or narrower? What year should look for/avoid for a '94?

Why not just call joe at Scottsdale Infiniti and order the correct one?

I wonder if driving the car without the transmission filter O-ring in place is what destroyed your transmission at such low mileage?

What?

The best and ultimately cheapest deal is to get the Nissan remanufactured one from Joe, unless you love repeated labor.

In this case the warranty is meaningless since on the last 30 or so we've used as replacements zero failures have occurred in 70,000 miles.

I have one on my Q with 118,000 miles replaced in 2002.

AS with all Parts, Nissan gives an offical 12,000 mile 12 mo warranty.

Around $3,100 with shipping [core return] and labor is an average independent price.

Whatch out for low quality chain store/shop rebuilds they won't last and half the expensive parts are skipped [new TC and Japan renovated valve body].
