I have been searching for the Sylvania SilverStar replacement for the Q's foglights but ahve not been able to get a definite response. I hate to buy the wrong bulb and have a problem returning it (as in E-Bay). So I wrote an e-mail to Sylvania to inqure. Here is part of the reponse:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your inquiry. We did not receive lamp replacement information from the vehicle manufacturer of your 1994 Infiniti Q45 for the fog light application. Being that the vehicle manufacturer did not supply the information to us, so I am unable to provide you with the information that you are requesting.

I know someone mentioned they thought the number was H3 ......but is anyone sure? I am without a bulb on either side to even take out to make an eyesight comparison with the Sylvania. I have been able to purchase the lowbeam 9003 and high beams 9005 with no difficulty. I have even called the dealer and the part number is a ten digit one which does not work.

Someone has had to have had the same issue. Stock bulbs from the dealer are over 10 bucks a piece so the cost would seem to be justified when considering the extra illumination and the longevity factors.

If it is a H3 at the dealer, it is also a H3 at Sylvania.

Thanks Brian, but the dealer never said H3. You did but you were not even sure.

What you said was,"It does. Believe it is and H3. No fun to get to on a G50, but a breeze on the FY33."

Even Joe's people said it was a part number 13629CC9907 or 04. No one at any dealer......................... I called three.... all in different areas of the country gave me a number that made sense. All diverted me from the silver stars and were not very helpful in finding a corresponding bulb type.

I was told by Glendale Infiniti in Glendale, Ca that the silver stars burn hot and will burn out the harness.

At any rate, I have located a pair now and I am good. They were indeed the H3, 55 watt bulbs....it would have been nice if Sylvania just listed them on their webpage.

I would avoid Glendale Infiniti like the plague!

The beauty of Silverstars is they only draw the same current as OEM bulbs.

Noticed the SS Ultra are only available for the high beams.
