Anyone have an idea of how to fix my problem? If I open the driver's side door with the key the alarm goes off. There is no problem using the remote. Passenger side works just fine.

Had the beast since new and still drives liek a dream!

It's got to do with the relay/sensor on the lock mechanism. Let me see if I can find one of the old threads about it ...
