94 Q 45 Driver window not working

The driver window noticeably started moving slower during operation for a week or so then finally stopped working. It does make a noise but fails. The only post I found was for a window regulator. What are the odds that widow regulator is the problem or the widow motor?

Welcome to NICO!

Either way you'll need to pull the door panel for further research.. My experience with regulators has been with a plastic guide breaking that keeps the window from moving.

Are you the do it your self type?

The good news is window regulator and motor combinations are usually in good supply in salvage yards and I believe there are some part outs going on in the Clasified section where you can get a deal on a previously owned part..

Due to the low cost at salvage yards, I keep a couple of extra regulator/motor combinations on hand just for good measure..

Yes I'm the do it your self type for stuff like this. The problem is that there are zero Q45's in the area. when I read the regulator replacement post and ordered the part from everything infinity and when I recieved the package I was sure that I made a $150 mistake. I will check the classifeds next time. Thanks!

Where are you located?

Up in Chico Ca. I am sure there are some Q45s down in Sacremento which is about 1.5hrs south but not here.
