Guys (& gals) I need a little help. I'm helping out a friend who had a "friend" that was helping them fix a rusted and leaking brake line. :gotme By the time I came in the picture to help mentor this kid and teach him to turn a wrench, I look under the truck and see that this other "friend" had cut both of the steel lines from the front of the truck going to the LSPV in two different places and then left after connecting two steel lines that were too short with compression fittings :tisk: Isn't that illegal in most states?? (the compression fittings, not the short lines  ) We have no way of knowing which line went where and he said it didn't matter which one  As far as I knew, you had a pressure line and a return line right?
Any way there is an F stamped on the LSPV where the top brake line attaches and an R on both the other two. The middle one goes to the T and then to the rear wheels. I need to know which line goes where. We have pumped the brakes and know which line is the pressure line but don't know where it attaches to the LSPV.
I have hunted all evening and come up with nothing.
Any ideas?

Well, I guess that we guessed right, we put the prussure line on the top stamped with F. That seemed to work.
Any body know what the symptoms would be if I had them reversed?
Anyone... anyone...

can't say i've ever really heard of a screwed up brake job quite that bad lol

i can't really say for sure about the symptoms of having them reversed as i've never heard of them being reversed before... but maybe someone else does.

Thanks for the reply PEZi, they seem to work OK but I didn't want it on the road before we were sure.
Does anyone know of a detailed brake line plumbing schematic? I couod easily see it from that...

if you can find someone with an FSM or haynes/chilton's manual... that should do the trick

I've looked in both the chilton's and Haynes but nothing definitive, I didn't see any plumbing schematics other than vacuum lines.
I was hoping someone on here might have a FSM. If I owned one of these trucks I would have one like I do for my 240sx, I might never see one of these again:-)
