Hopefully somebody can help me as I am not much of a mechanic. My father-in-law has a 94 pathfinder V6 A/T. I'm visiting for Thanksgiving and I'm trying to help him with his truck before I leave tomorrow afternnon. It quit starting overnight with no warning. The battery was old and it tested bad at AutoZone so I replaced it along with the corroded wires. The battery did not solve the starting problem. The starter/solenoid does not make any sound when the key is turned. I replaced the starter after I took it off and it tested bad at AutoZone. The new starter did not solve the problem. I was reading about the inhibitor switch mounted to the transmission that prevents the engine from starting unless the transmission is in N or P. I found the switch but I could not find the wire connector for the switch so that I could test the continuity. Does anyone know where the inhibitor switch connector is located and the best way to test it? Does anyone have any other ideas that might be the culprit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
