94 Pathfinder - new engine dies after 10 sec

I just got my new engine in completely. All the accessories and everything attached. When I start the engine it runs for about 10 sec, initially sounds nice and smooth, goes to about 1200 rpm then down to 800ish after a few sec. Holds there for maybe 7 sec and then starts to slip and then slowly dies away. Computer gives me a 55 no fault reading. Have not timed it with a light yet ( cause it wont run long enough ) but have adjusted it through full range of three different teeth on the distrib gearing, the above is the best result i get. Tried giving it gas with the pedal and it runs at higher RPM but still dies in same amount of time, just dies harder. Anyone got any ideas?

almost sounds as if its running out of fuel...... have you checked fuel pressure.. maybe the pump can give it enough to pump it up but not to maintain pressure?

Hey finally got this working....I had reconnected all the wires except!!! the ignition coil....so once that was connected it worked
