I've recently bought a 94 Pathfinder (which I've fallen in love with and I've nick-named the Gasfinder because it get's about 16 mpg haha, hence my new user name) and I'm having quite a few electrical problems that have been irking me. I'll simply start by making a list of things that don't work:

Horn Cruise control buttons (on the steering wheel: dash switch lights up fine)Sport/comfort suspension switch (center console, behind e-brake)Alarm switch (center console, behind e-brake)

Now after spending pretty much the entirety of my day off doing everything I can to fix the horn, I've found that the button for the horn is good, the fuse under the dash is fine, the relay on the passenger side quarter panel under the hood near the battery is good, and the horn itself works fine (after running a hotwire straight from the fuse panel). I've tested at all 3 points (button, fuse, relay; couldn't test at the horn as there was too much corrosion) and I'm getting about half a volt through out the entire system (I plan to fix the corrosion on the horn end as soon as I find whats causing the low voltage).

With that said, I also need to say that the truck was in a front/driver side collision before I bought it, and the driver's side quarter panel, hood, front bumper, drivers side turn signal, headlight, wiring harnesses and pretty much everything in that general area was replaced with parts from another similar year Nissan, not sure if it was another Pathy or even a Hardbody pickup.

I don't anticipate this truck to be perfect as I only paid $800 for it, but I would like to try to get atleast the horn working for my own ease of mind. I understand that the wiring could have been done completely wrong, which is why I'm hoping there might be a simple fix. Otherwise I might just end up running all of my own wiring.

Also today while under the hood I've found an open end where a relay should be. It's coming out of a wiring harness behind the battery, between the battery and the fusable link box. I checked it with meter and it is powered with just over 12 volts. I can't seem to find any information on what relay SHOULD be there, so I'm hoping maybe someone with a WD21 can take a look at theirs... I've taken the best picture I can to show it's location (it's snowing pretty good outside and my screen kept getting wet)

I've just found that this picture shows it could be the A.S.C.D hold relay, because my truck is an automatic so it can't be the interlock relay, and it's most likely not for a resistor. It could also be for the auto amplifier relay.

I greatly appreciate any help and I look forward to talking to some fellow NICOs :D.

Well today is Thursday and I've finally fixed my horn entirely :D. Turns out that somewhere between the horn and the relay a wire had been cut or never connected so I had no ground for the relay. So I ran a wire from the relay through the firewall and to a switch then ran a wire from the switch to a ground and now both my horns work great! I was afraid I was just going to have to scrap all the wiring done and run a hot from the fuse box through a switch and to the horns but I eliminated that work and saved the relay . Too bad the only switch I had on hand was a toggle switch LOL.
