94 nissan pathfinder electrical problem

I recently purchased a 94 pathfinder xe and it keeps blowing meter fusesI know its not the stereo or the a.c. blower motor and of course it only blows while vehicle is running because this fuse is ignition. Is this is a common problem? What is the general cause other than a short in thewire. I am on a limited budget in San Diego and need help from a auto electrician or someone who knows of this problem. What you have is called a dead short. A common and not costly if you can do yourself is get the wiring diagram from the ESM and find everything that is powered by that fuse on that circuit and unplug them. One by one and when you get the fuse to stop popping you have narrowed down the problem. Once you determine the component you will have to see if its the wiring going to it or the component itself.

I have narrowd it down to a quandry. the fuse does not blow when the vehicle is idleing. the stereo both direct and ignition is not in this circuit.The air conditioning blower is and you can run it while the fuse is still good and it does not blow the fuse there is something called an electronic fuel module or somesuch that this little 10 amp fuse is responsable for. if the vehicle is hot and you put in a good fuse, it blows right away. If the vehicle is cold you can put a new fuse in it and it will not blow right away.when you drive the vehicle it blows as far as i know at this time the fuse runs the dash guages, the a.c. blower, the seat belt chime, the fuel module, and the hazard lights. I have a manuel although its a nissan truck manuel from 1980 to 1996.I put a new alternator because the battery light comes on when the rest of the dash goes bad and it did nothing besides showing me I can still replace an alternator. I need a pathfinder expert. Still perplexed

I have the same problem with the meter fuse. Where can I get a free copy of the Electronic service manual to find all items on that circuit? Is there any common areas to look at first? any one please help?[email protected]
