Mom doesn't drive anymore, so I have the car now. It is my job to get it in shape as an extra family car.

The first thing I need to do is replace the suspension. It is worn out in my opinion. It is very soft and bouncy and seems to bottom out on the drivers front side when going over speed bumps, it makes a funny indescribable sound like boing.

I don't wish to make this a race car but wish to keep it similar to stock maybe a little better meaning stiffer but not uncomfortable to drive as DD. I want to keep the tires 205 R65 15 and the nice factory wheels that came stock.

What would be a good suspension choice for this car?Any comments appreciated.Thanks-

For shocks, I'd recommend Tokicos. Good compromise between a little stiffer and better handling with comfortable ride. You can stick with factory springs or turn to someone like Eibach for a little drop and a little more handling improvement.

I stuck with my 205/65/15 tires with my Max as well. I liked the factory wheels and 15 inch tires are DIRT cheap. You can get a full set of GOOD tires for your Max for little more most people these days (with 18'' and bigger) are paying for ONE tire.
