I have a 1994 maxima GXE, with 131,000 miles on it. About 4 months ago it started to drop RPM's dramatically when travelling at a constant speed. The first time it happened I was going down hill and was extremely low on gas. It didn't happen very often after that, only about 3 times within two months. I had the air filter changed when i had an oil change, but later that didn't help. I had taken it in for a tune up about a month and a half ago and had the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotors, and fuel filter replaced (hoping a clogged fuel filter was the issue). That did not work and it has gotten worse. It did it once more a week after the tune up, and three days ago it dropped 3 times within an hour. Once while i was driving in town, and twice within 30 seconds of eachother on the freeway. Yesterday it happened once in town. It mostly happens on the freeway at a constant speed or a slight accelleration with or without the air conditioning on. I've had suggestions of possible vaccuum issues and electrical issues. Any other suggestions as to what is going on?

I would first check fuel pressure. You should be at around 40PSI at all times, like 35 at idle and 42 at WOT. Check that and see where that takes you.
