94 Maxima. Hmmmm, both low beams work fine and passenger (right) side high beam doesn't work. removed 9004 bulb and it appeared fine. Bought another bulb anyways, assuming i couldn't see the break in the filament. But still no high beam on my right side. Left side works normal. Socket connection seems fine. Do I need to trace along wiring harness?

How can this be? Is it my stering wheel switch/arm ?

thanks to anyone who can help me.

It could possibly be the headlight switch. But unfortunately you probably will need to hunt down the problem to pinpoint it. The EL section of the FSM should be very helpful for that.http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/1994/el.pdf

if the socket looks fine just check the connection on each wire behind it the high beam shouldnt be getting power, just fallow that harness back checking at each connection point to see where you start getting power, then youll know how much youll need to replace if you cant simply resplice and heatwrap it

thanks guys. MOD, I looked in the manual and found it very unhelpful for tracing headlights, or any trouble shooting for headlamps. So I went to the wrecker today and replaced the Daytime Running Light module (hey..it's a Canadian car). I think this is basically the relay. I'd heard this was a common problem. NOT on mine...it did nothing. So maybe I should get the steering column switch and give that a shot. First I'm going to swap bulbs so i at least know I have a bulb that works on high beam. Although I think it is unlikely my old light was the problem, or the new one I replaced it with.

gumby, peeling apart all that loom and following the wires back will be a huge job. I'll see.
