94 Maxima door lock

I have a 94 Maxima, the drivers door lock does not lock when locked from the keypad. Also occasionally all the doors will lock on their own, or when the drivers door is opened the alarm will go off but the doors were not locked. This all started when the rod inside the door connected to the handle came off and would not open drivers door. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a bad door lock actuator in the drivers door, may also have a combination problem, I cant remebr if the 94 had the key cyl switch in the door or if it uses the actuator to activate the alarm. But if it has the switch on the lock cyl it too may have a problem.
