94 J30t Shifting Issue
94 J30t Shifting Issue
The car has been idling over 1100 for a while now. The new issue is me having to skip "D" from "P" it wont go into "D" unless I shift into any other gear prior to "D".. The only thing i can input to help is that perhaps RPMs are too high for D1 gear??? Does this make sence? Ill try anything

have you tried letting it warmup first?

yeah dude i also read every post on the entire board even "others". I just need a damn consult or some program/cable to hook the laptop up to diag the entire system, but i dont think thats possible. My real life issue is that i cant affoard to have some dealer look at it, and they never have the same goal when my car is under there garage. Is there such thing as open source ECU software or are we stuck with car manufactures making operating systems?? If you like i can send you about 2 gig of Digital Video and Auto I have taken of the car doing whats its doing.
Past the blah above.....> does ANYONE actually have a J30 94 and younger "OBD1 I think" that’s running aftermarket or self engineered management systems?? Anything that actually effectively and efficiently does your task without negative side effects?
I’m not a mechanic by any means but I’m fully capable of comprehending or figuring out a truly professional response to these issues of mine so PLEASE someone hit me with the real deal as if your Carlos Ghosn himself.
I guess I should also say STOCK IS CLOSED MINDED. We don’t get anywhere without mods,upgrades,hacks,inventions, and so on. I refuse to believe the way things were managed in 1994 is still the best way to manage them now. I want to keep the Vision that is J30 but lets get real our cars are getting older, and this is the only way to raise a car that you truly love. I honestly don’t want to drive another car I WANT THIS ONE!
