94 J30 VTC's and front struts going down

Is there any way to go around paying 400 each for VTC's. I heard that you can do some rewiring but you lose the function of your VTC's. What is that and do you reccomend it? Also, is there a place to buy front struts that won't require me to see a kidney to afford them? I bought this car recently and I do not have any maintenence history. Therefore I get surprised each and every day it seems with a little tick,oil spot..etc.Thanks for your time and Happy Holidays to whomever may respond. Jason

call both for prices. one has free shipping so that might be the better deal. i hope you can do the work yourself, because that's where the reall $$ comes in.

i recommend getting the vehicle service report from the dealer. all you'll need is your VIN#. this will only give you info on what's been done at a dealer but it's a start and it's reliable.
