If all of my timing marks are ligned up with the 4 cams and the crank is that all I need to have done. Do I need to be on TDC? Thanks, Jason

I don't understand the question.

what do you mean by "the crank is all that I need done"

I guess you mean that the timing is off on your J, but just at the crank (all of the cams are right in relationship to each other). You want to attempt looseing the belt and skiping the just the crank forward or backward to get it right.

If you're about to take the timing belt loose, it's always a good idea to be at TDC on #1. By design that's the place since no valve in either head is lifted at that point. Thus, minizming the risk of a small accidental turn in the process.

Setting TDC #1 is easy enough, I highly recommend it.
