I recently found a 94 Q45 at a local junkyard near me and wanted to know if anyone knew what specific tools, sockets, extensions etc would be needed to pull the engine?

Hello and welcome to NICOclub.

Although I would normally direct you to the factory service manual (linked below), those typically don't have the bolt sizes listed. I believe the Nissan 240sx guys have probably seen more VH45DE engines than the q45 owner group has, as they usually yank them off for their swaps. IF you can search for one such swap thread, they might give more of that direct info.

OTOH, most junkyards I've been to usually pull the engine for you. Yes, they cut manifolds and wire harnesses if you don't make an effort to preserve them, but even the you-pick-it types, have taken charge of engines.
