So I was trying to remove the VSS from my 94 Pickup and it broke and hours of struggling trying to pull it out and many bloody knuckles later it's still broken in the transmission any input on how to go about removing it would be appreciated.

It sucks because of the location of the sensor. You might have to pull the transmission and lay it on a work bench, it will gain you an advantage without the cross member being in the way. One other thing you can try is removing the shifter and trying to attack it from above rather than below. Since the sensor is toast now you can't hurt by using some persuasion.
