For some reason the radiator cap does not seem to have a firm engagement. It feels like maybe it is pushing down with about half the expected force, and as a result is leaking all over the place even if the temperature is not that high(like 220 max which is cool for AZ summer.). Is there some peculiarity about the fit on these caps with different size filler necks. I have used both a Stant and Sankei caps to replace the original. In addition, I have polished the sealing surface, but without any change.

Make sure you are turning the cap all the way around.I had the same problem, come to find out I had to push the cap down and keep turning to seal it completly.

You might think its closed when it first stops but, you have to keep going.

Good luck.

Change the filler neck. The metal bead is probably worn preventing a tight seal... I had the same problem.
