I found this car in good condition at a used car dealer, only problem, it wont start.. You can turn the key and it will turn over like it is trying but it wont fully start, even while trying to give it gas.. It turns over like it is very strong too..

The motor in it is the SR20DE 140HP.

I noticed the "Security" light blinking beside the sterring wheel....I dont know much of these cars, but could the ECU gone in a failsafe mode??

What do you guys suggest? Thank you.

Does the car have a timing belt? That would be my first guess. How many miles?

All of the G-20 Infiniti models are chain driven. The engine would still start regarding the fail-safe (limp home) mode. No start conditions could result for numerous reasons; luckily you have purchased a vehicle that isn’t too difficult to diagnois. One thing I would like for you to look at, remove the oil filler cap, look down on top of the camshaft with a flashlight to make sure the camshaft hasn’t started to seize by a lack of maintenance. If everything looks fine there, go back to the basics. Is the plugs firing, fuel pump working, injectors pulsating, cylinders washed out with fuel resulting in very low compression. If your not mechanically inclined I would have a technician diagnosis. With you having no history of the vehicle or when it was last running, the problem could be anywhere. A few unusual no start situations I have seen, a customer putting diesel fuel in the tank at the pump. That type situation can drive techs up the wall, depending on the gasoline/diesel mix. Don’t think nahhhhh, nowadays with all that’s going on with engines, sometimes, seeing is believing!
