Hey Fellas its Evan (NC) again with another request. I will be changing my fuel filter this weekend, and I was wondering if there was any literature that included diagrams in fuel pump replacement. I have read over tangalora's extensive and very detailed account many times and the information has been very useful, but I need some pictures to help me out. Much appreciated fellas! -"EQwhipD"

You dont need help bro, its not hard.. Heres the crash course (ive done this 3 times)

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, DEPRESSURIZE THE SYSTEM. PULL THE FUEL PUMP FUSE AT IDLE.. ITS THE 3RD ONE DOWN ON THE RIGHT HAND COLUMN, WITH THE FUSE PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.

Remove the rear seat bottom, with the two little black things on the floor... Pull out, then pull the seat up

Remove the seat back... 4 screws on the bottom and 2 behind the little flip down console thingy... What I did is removed the bottom seat belt thing in the far right corners and then pulled it up through the seatbelt thing

Remove the rear package shelf... This took some finesse, but dont give up, a little firm but not "yanking" brute force will get it done...

Pull the black box thing... 6 screws...

undo the fuel lines on the pump

undo the fuel pump screws

pull out pump

Reverse order and be sure to install a new O ring

I can give you a step by step over phone...

When you undo the fuel lines, it may spray on you despite depressurizing, and you'll find yourself covered in gasoline begging for a towel. So have some towels handy.

Thanks Fellas! Sounds like a pretty easy job! Good news, I also bought some 16" 2001 Maxima rims/wheels (9 spoke) off of Ebay, and I plan to put those babies on this weekend. I am praying that the rims will look nice on the car. Well, anyway HAPPY HOLIDAYS and thanks for the great advice and guidance. Wes, I will definately call you if something happens- Evan (NC) "EQwhipD" = E(van)Q(45)whip(slang for car)D(no real meaning)= equipped

Before you run the car out of fuel from fuel starvation, remove the gas cap, to relieve the tank pressure. This should help with the fuel leakage while removing the gas lines. I have not done one yet, but have the pump, and am waiting for some free time, to do it.
