94 front seats and carpet inside a 91 Q!

My 91 Q45 has some really badly worn seats, just recently acquired a set of great condition 94 front seats, wanted to know if anyone has swapped these and are they compatible. Also I'm looking to replace my carpet as well, does a 94 carpet fit inside a 91, I compared and they look interchangeable, but I'm looking to get feedback if any members have actually swapped 94 seats and carpets inside a 91 Q45? ...Nevermind found some information on this forum, yes they are interchangeable!

Sorry guys, but today I installed my new carpet and it is not identical, the carpet on a 94 leaves a little opening behind the center console and the seat mounting section is all the same except the bolts on the back of the front seat closest to the center console. Also the seats do not mount the same, bolt on the back of the 94 seat sits further away from the thread on a 91 floor. I plan on installing a 94 center console to fix my problem and I'm going to mount the new leathers from my 94 seats onto my 91 seats! Sorry for listing the wrong information, found some info on this site but it wasn't elaborate enough, so when I actually started installing I ran into a few minor issues!

Its amazing how many things are different in seemingly identical cars! How are you going to get the '94 center console to match up with the shifter surround on your '91? Unfortunately all of that is a little different too.

Installed my 94 seats into my 91 Q, had to do some switching of leathers and cushions, modified my seat frame to eliminate my armrest from my 91. All is well, now I have to figure out how to cover the opening on the floor in the back seat behind the center console. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get a 94 center console soon, so this will not be fixed anytime in the near future, but when I do, I'll update this posting!

Would the single piece rear floor mat from a 94-96 cover the bare spot? I'm not sure what color your interior is but I have a tan rear mat from a 94Q in mint condition if you're interested.

Thanks Mr. G, my interior carpet went from gray to black. As far as my exposed area in my carpet, I have an idea but I won't be able to fix it until I get some time, probably some modifying of the center console. Thanks for your offer!

wow! no pics? ive already did the dash and center console aswell as interior trim. from tan to grey. waiting on some seats to come through.
