1994 q45 146000 miles. coasting 35 down the street to a stop the car died. Has power, engine turns over but wont start. saw a little puddle of gas on the street. I took the air filter cover off and there was a pudle of gas in the air box. it came out of the throttle body. Any reason this would happen or what to check. thanks.

you have a huge fuel leak somewhere, probably under the plenum somewhere. you're lucky you didnt start the entire Q on fire.

Done any injector removal/installation lately? I had this happen to me when I lost the lower o-ring on a fuel injector. Fuel spills out the TB as well as the cat. My guess is that you've either lost a lower FI o-ring or the pressure regulator on the fuel rail is shot.

I think your first step is going to be to remove one spark plug from each bank and see if the problem is isolated to one bank or the other. If this is the case it points to a bad FI o-ring. If you have gas coming out the cat/muffler on one side only it may help you determine which spark plug to pull first. Good luck.
