Decades ago, i had a 1985 ford crown vic came into the shop with a "high idle speed" complaint. I found this light tan colored residue, built-up along the throttle shaft and blades, that was making contact with the throttle body housing preventing the throttles from returning to the idle position. Carb cleaner and other solvents had no effect on it, however water did seem to slowly dissolve it. So i tossed it in a small bucket of water for a couple of hours, and when i came back , the deposits had nearly disappeared. The two injectors itself passed a flow test, and had no visible residues on/in them. I concluded he was the victim of a vandal who dumped some sugar in his gas tank. Is there any possibility you might have sugar in your tank? I'm guessing that the injectors in the crown vic did not get plugged because they are two very large injectors feeding a 5.0 litre V8. Your injectors may be small enough to trap sugar in its passages. See if you can scrape off a small chunk of that residue and see if it dissolves in water
