You did dang my brain must not work late then.I was asking because i was thinking of the JIC coilovers and also some other brand coilovers.at the time.I'll update when i get everything together and or off thanks.thejapino wrote:I already told you in another thread, front lower shock mount is different as in different diameter/shape. Press out your bushing if you can save it and press it into the shock you plan on using. Goody94Q45 is right.
Good to know info thanks.Q45tech wrote:The standard suspension is essentially unchanged from 1989-1996 except for tweeking shock rates.Obviously as the car increased in weight [especially 1994 model] they had to change front shocks.
The 100 pound increase from 90-93 wasn't enough to mandate a change but the 200+ [thicker glass, grill, lights, bumpers, insulation] in 1994 was.
Springs never changed because they changed the attachment points [on 94 model] [shock tower] to deal with the 50 pounds per front side [1/3" ].
There are 2 front sway bars [29mm standard and 28mm for T and a models] and no rear sway, 15.7mm and 20mm rear units
Thanks I maybe need your help later on as I'm trying to replace an injector and since im getting the chance now to get my hands into the car without beingscared you know. Thanks for the fender and cigarette ash tray again.goody94q45 wrote:While we wait for everyone to wake up....As far as I know everything is the same except for the strut lower attach point (different diameters on the strut). Therefore...it's a different strut and different knuckle (not sure of the right term?).
Not OEM exactly just making progress on my project.maxnix wrote:Like reading the previous posts, the FSM and restoring your car to as new OEM specifications?
