94 ALTIMA (L, A/T) CV shaft!! WTF

So Ive done a million CV shafts on toyotas, since i work as a tech there. Never done one on a altima. Its no different. so i had to remove the right side CV shaft used a punch like it says to do on alldata to take out the L side. Now i put the rebuilt shaft back in the L side with a new C clip and seal........dirka......... it leaks like crazy and i dont think its seating down all the way......i cant find any pictures of what its supposed to look like or if its even seated right... i think the seal i bought was kinda weak sauce (it seemed cheezy) but WTF has anyone run into this problem.......also i have a lot of shaft play where the shaft goes into the transaxle, i dont know exactly what the measurements are (dial indicator is at work!!!) and have no clue if its a bushing in there or a bearing (nor do i want to pull it all apart) ......maybe its normal?????? somone plz help im on vacation n dont have access to shop manuals. WTF HELP =) thnx guys

Welcome to NICO. You're the second person this week to have this issue. I would see if the seal got pinched when you put it in. Chances are,t hat's what happened. Or, the seal you got isn't a good seal or it was poorly constructed. Basically, get a new seal and see if it stops.

so i got in there and found out the guy who i bought it off of had put the wrong shaft in there and had been driving it for the last 2 years withoutfluid so it hadnt leaked.......sure enough i put some fluid in there and it leaks hahahahaha wow coffecan customs..... anyway im pretty sure theres a different shaft for the ones w abs, manual trans and limeted slip...............i shoud have known when i saw the ABS pickup on the CV and i dont have abs on my altima............haha time to boost it out of its mind.
