This has got to be the cleanest, most well put together 240 i have ever seen. Everything is just so simple and clean. i am one to believe that quality not quantity always comes out on top. This car no matter how big or small the mod is just put in the right place. I hope that one day i will be able to say the same for my vert. thanks man

Yup!! I took a lot of pictures when I removed it last night. It took hours when I first removed a quarter window assembly, and last night it took only 15 min!!!

Yes, I took them to a machine shop that had CNC Machine equipped with 4-lug drilling program setup, but still holes were like 1mm off, so I had to use a Dremel to make the rotors fit just like OEM ones. I was frustrated when I found out holes were bit off, but everything turned out just fine.

I'll do a full write up on this brake swap with lots of pics. I did over 100mph on the highway, and initial bite was amazing. I'm very pleased with overall result.

Well, I've been collecting parts for years. You can buy z32 calipers on eBay. I bought rest of the parts whenever I have some money. No, you can't use 350z rotors with 240 calipers. You must have 30mm z32 calipers(not 26mm) with custom brackets.

I've worked on my car all day today to fix the quarter window and install Mighty Lift hood dampers from an auto parts store. I was worried about hood damper installation because I have to drill a lot of holes(total 8 of them), but it came out really nice without running into any issues.

Close up picture of ball joint on the fender.

Ball joint on the hood. This piece needs to be modified with Dremel and a cutting wheel. It could look stock OEM setup if I don't have cuts on this part.

Driver's side.

Passenger side.

Engine bay shot.

There's about two inch space between hood prop and the hole when hood is up as you can see. It means my hood goes up more with hood dampers which will give me a little more extra space. Also sturuts don't get compress all the way in when the hood is closed. There's about an inch slack. I checked other cars that came with the dampers from the factory and all of them had about an inch slack. I spent a lot of time measuring the locations that ball joints would go. I'll give you guys exact measurements, so you guys can try too. My only concern is these dampers might go bad just like vert trunk struts. My Sachs trunk struts lasted only for 2 years. Well, I guess I'll just have to replace them when time comes.

My quarter window fix went fine too. It works fine, and I aligned it perfectly. I had a very good with my car today.

I knew you would want these. I decided to do it after I saw this thread. I think I spent about $60.

zerothread?id=293203

rico05 who did the write up has a stack of washers on this hood hinges, so it won't fit if you follow his write up. Hood ball joint is what need to be mounted differently.

It's all good.

How much did the hood dampers cost you? If you don't mind me asking.

And which auto store?

I think I spent about $60-70. Any auto parts stores should have 4418 dampers, and I got the brackets from Lewis Marine Supply in Florida. I'll measure the spots for the brackets tonight and post.

I got this idea from http://www.mazda3forums.com and did it over the weekend. Mud guards are not available for Mazda 3, so owners do this. S13 OEM mud guards won't fit on my car because of side skirts, so I fabricated them with a plastic trash can. Came out better than I thought. It took way longer than I thought to cut them, trim, make holes and install.

This is what I used. I bought 2 of them from Office Depot.

Cut like this and trimmed the edges.

Front

Rear. I did both front and back of rear wheel well.

I took some pics this weekend.

At a local Nissan dealership.

With my neighbor's Challenger. 240 looks small.
