I have a slight problem.

A little background on what happened:

The car was running , radio on and the heater was on.Went inside to get my phone (5 min at the most).I came out and car was idleing roughly, a smell of an electrical, burning nature was inside. The brake and battery "warning(?)" lights on the dash were illuminated.

I replaced the alternator (original), replaced the old battery w/an optima.Checked all fuses and relays. Checked all of the grounding points.

The brake and battery "warning(?)" lights are still illuminated.

Any help? Hints? Suggestions?

Thanks.

i had the same problem a while back, although when i changed the alternator it was fixed. so my guess would be to check the wires connected to the alternator and make sure none are lose. good luck and let us know how you fixed it.
