I've got a '93 Q45 with 150K on it - I've had it since '97 and 55K. Been a great car, and well taken care of. However, in the last 12 months, it's gotten a new fuel pump, water pump, alternator, belt tensioner, tires, struts, radiator, and the intake has been cleaned. I know that this is par for the course for this age/mileage, but I've had to have it towed three times, and I'm about at my limit.

A couple of times a year it will "rough start". It starts, but it sounds like it is missing, and chugs for a few minutes before smoothing out. Once underway, it is fine. It happens so rarely that I've never thought much of it.

It did this yesterday, when I needed to back it out of the driveway. It didn't run for more than a minute before I turned it off. Today it won't start. It turns over but just spins, and barely even tries to catch. Any ideas before I have it towed would be appreciated. Thanks.

Could be many things - plugs, ignition coils, dirty injectors, MAF connector, etc. Have the T3 folks diagnose it - you live in Atlanta.

You can't start it and shut it off. It happens to all of them, it has to warm up enough before you can turn it off.

It happens to all of them... floods !

Yeah, I won't do that again.

I got it started a couple of hours later. Ran a little rough for five minutes, then settled down. Drove it for about an hour to pick up my other car at the shop, seems fine.
