I got to do a oil change car has sat for about a year he said and the gas is still in the tank for who knows how long. im going to drop the fuel, oil change. Any other suggestions my new friends! lol

The front lower grills are white and the inner fender liners are white. Signs of a quick and cheap paint job.

Your slideshow doesn't work right, had to mess with photobucket to get it to work. Did finally manage to do so though. A nice wash makes a huge diff, eh?

Also, judging by the rust dribble from the lower corner of the driver's door in the first washed pic, odds are a previous owner had a maaco-grade rust patch and respray done. Or something like that. And that's why your grilles and liners are sprayed.

Looks like only the front bits received a respray from what I can tell. The rear quarters look to have more oxidation on them than the front panels. I recommend taking the time to hit the car with a claybar and see if you can't restore some of the shine back to the clear coat. It's a lot of elbow grease, but a good claybar job can make the world of difference in looks. The top is obviously in serious need of replacement, and I would recommend doing that sooner than later. Seeing duct tape on the canvas makes me think you're going to get leaks within the cabin. Look at topsonline.com for pricing and I have a DIY linked in my signature. If you feel it's above your abilities, shops generally charge $1,000 and up for the job (that usually includes them buying the top).

Hey thanks for the feedback guys. Sorry about the photobucket problems I gotta figure out how to use it better. As for as the top I only have a little tape on it cause it has like two cigarette sized holes that Iwanted to patch up so further damage does not occur.the back window needs replacing for sure. I'm going to do the clay bar and wax it real good can't wait till that honestly.I'm happy and the body is in great condition so I wanna restore it as much as possible.I took out the seat and have them agood scrub down and carpets.visits are gone re upholstered with black suede.

Aside from those few little things it seems to be in pretty good shape. The wash alone helped, and with a little work it should shape up to be a pretty slick vert. Planning on modding it any?

I would like to make it a 5 speed. Maybe soon enough get some suspension drop it a bit get the front bumper replaced cause it's torn on the bottom. Right now I have no rush for the car if I show to much interest I don't wan to get my girl mad lol I'd rather play it cool and do small things slowly. That way Everyone is happy. I wanna redo the Interior. Any ideas you have?what you would do if you had the car?

At the very least the first thing I'd suggest is to to as much basic maintenance as possible. Belts, hoses, gaskets, plugs wires cap rotor, suspension bushings and ball joints, etc. If possible also t-stat water pump things like that. Helps keep it alive. Beyond that I feel car modding is a very personal experience. However, there are plenty of build threads on here ranging from oem DD's to fully built race beasts. Plenty to pick from. Insofar as what I'd do, feel free to check out my build page if you'd like. Short version is, I'd focus on suspension and handling, make it ride nice. Then work on whatever you feel is lacking :dblthumb:
