the 93 and 95 motors look the same but ive owned both and recently got the 95 but its an auto. my 93 had a redline of 6900 but the 95 has a redline of only 6500. is it becuase of the difference in year and tuning or is it becuase the 93 was a 5-speed and the 95 is an auto?

i think it has to do with the 95 being an Auto, i have a 95 engine in mine and when i had the SAFC it would read 72xxrpm if i beat it off the revlimiter sometimes higher if i keep on it, (wouldnt recmoned doing,) i did it one time in second gear at Lowes motor speed way .

auto or manual doesnt have to do anything with the redline. stock ecu and stock cams would make a s13 redline at 6900 and a s14 at 6500. the reason why s13s redline higher than s14s are because of the cams.

I have a 90 240 w/ a 93 KADE in mine but I'm dropping a 95 in it soon. Would I have to change the gauge cluster or should the 93 cluster work with the 95 engine? If I understand correctly I would just have to watch not to go over 6,500.
