ive had alot of problems with wiring with this swap, they sent me a hacked up harness with alot missing. im down to my last few wires. there is a harness clip that is close to the battery. there is three clips together. one is for the starter the other is for the injectors and the other i cant figure out. there are 2 wires goin to it red/black and black/red. i wanted to see if the clip had anything to do with the coil not getting power so i grabed my volt metter and put it on the setting that tells you if they are connected. when i touched the b/r (clip) and the b/r (coil) it beeped saying they are conected somewhere. then i tried the other 2 wires r/b(clip) and the g/y (coil) and it beeped again. ive looked at the wiring diagram and cannot figure out why its not getting power and where this clip goes to.

thanks tony

hey tony looked at the wiring diag for your car today and it sucked i have access to alldata at work but it gave no wire colors, also cant down load the wiring diagrams. So im guessing your using the gtir harness. I did a det swap on my 96 200sx but its a bluebird not a sunny i know there is a significant difference but i thought you could use your stock harness and stock ecu. I just had my stock one reprogramed by jwt. Any how let me research a little more and also r u using the sunny wiring harness?

Man everyone I've talked too says they usually use the stock se-r harness and make the necessary splices to the engine. Anyhow I've looked at my 96 se-r harness and it has two wires attached to the positve terminal, and my 89 240 also has 2 wires attached to the positive cable. Maybe they need to be powered up but Im not sure, you could fuse them and try to power them up, this may be bad advice but its what i would try. Sorry I wasn't much help

Hey tony keep me posted on your wiring problem. Have you been able to crank your car at all to see if you had at least ground flash at your coil? (to see if the igniter/ecu were sending ground flash to the coil)

how do you check for that because im not even getting a reading on the green/yellow wire. the black/ red was reading a negitive reading like 4.6volts or somthing like that.. i must have missed the - sign b4. which makes me even more confused. for every componat that has the blk/red wire it is positve.. and that one is negitive?? how does the resistor and condencer work? if i knew how it worked i would problably be able to figure it out or atleast find a way to make it work..

Thanks tony
