Doing it this way makes it an hour job instead of wasting a whole day lighting things on fire.
Yes you can keep the reinforcment with the intercooler. ill prolly end up cutting up the front bumper to get more air to it though.elitefew22197 wrote:I'm digging that intercooler! Are you able to keep the front bumper reinforcement with that?
Yeah I'll most likely be stock body this year. it could use some overfenders though.S13AL wrote:Not bad.. Are you keeping it stock body??
There is nothing wrong with burning things. I just think this way is more efficient.kouki munster wrote:I haven't seen or heard to much about the gtx2867r, so this thread intrigues me.

It also only took me about 3 hours to burn and cut the bushings out, and that includes taking the subframe out of my car and taking it apart.
Thanks man. I ported the manifold some myself to clean up the flanges and stuff. no extrude hone though. I dont have a cage either. It's a strut bar I welded in about two years ago. I do plan on a cage at a later date though.badbob2121 wrote:I love your setup.
Are you going to extrude hone that manifold? I love Cody Ace's wastegate flange service. So clean..
Post some pictures of your chassis. I spy a cage in that battery mount picture and didn't see a cage in your photos from last season..

Thanks man, I love the color too. I have only seen a couple of them on the road, must be because it was a 93' only color.cbh148 wrote:Nice build man, looks like quality parts and quality work. Love the blue! I've got a friend with a sapphire blue hatch that's more or less a parts car, but I'd love to have it on the road.
What are the plans for getting air flow to the high mount intercooler? Just vent holes on the nose of the bumper, or any panels on the mouth of the bumper to push air upward to the intercooler (without starving the radiator of course)?
Also, what wheels are those on the rear? Size/width/offset if you know them.nismotuner1 wrote:
Yeah I have a chart but that's what it shows. It was on a dyno jet and I hear they have less load then a Mustang dyno so that could be why the numbers are a little higher. I had it on the street today but I wasn't really watching the tach. I was more trying to keep it in a straight line lol. Ill get back to ya on the spool time but there is nothing wrong with the car. Doesn't the 2871r fully spool around 4000rpm? It is the same turbine.badbob2121 wrote:Full boost at 4200?? ....something isnt right..
Do you have a chart you could post?
